PROJECT

Skills Training for Young Women in the Arts

We worked with young, female artisans, aged 14-30, in Kyebando and Kamwokya, Kampala and supported them with training and mentorship to establish their own creative businesses. Our focus was on handicrafts made from recycled materials, fashion designers, and traditional woven handicrafts. Monthly workshops included trainings on marketing, product development, financial management and registration. Participants also learned to enhance their online presence through social media and group learning.
