This project focused on the preservation of Ugandan heritage and decolonizing its history through the use of virtual reality (VR) technology and storytelling.  Through our work, we aimed to empower Ugandans with interactive experiences, contributing to sustainable individual and societal development. The project emphasized the significance of storytelling in Africa and sought to demystify Ugandan culture and history. Starting at the Buganda Palace of Mengo, representing the history of the Buganda Kingdom and its relationship with the nation of Uganda, the initiative included site visits, interviews, and the development of the VR application and 3D interactive walkthrough.  We exhibited the work at the end of 2023.
