Fanis Inganga

Senior Program Manager

What do you do at TICAH?

I manage TICAH's Indigenous Knowledge and Culture Program as well as the Healthy Household Program.

What do you hope your work will do for the community you work with?

My hope is that through our work more individuals and communities in Kenya will be encouraged to use valuable indigenous knowledge and wisdom to find solutions to challenges in health, education, livelihoods, natural resource management, climate change etc, and through this build resilient and healthier communities.

What do you love about TICAH?

I love that our programs are driven by the voices of the communities we work with. We start by listening to their stories, needs and challenges, and support them to design creative solutions in ways that matter to them.

Share a little about your professional background

For 8 years, I have been working in different capacities in the areas of program development and management for several NGOs in Kenya. As this is part of what I'm passionate about, I have also worked as a consultant providing organizational development support to small non-governmental organisations.

What is your favorite food?

I enjoy food from all cultures, as long as it's tasty and good.
